The second in the series of fragrances that will help you rejuvenate the body, mind and soul.... Nothing is better than an appropriate bouquet. So go out and get yourself a candle, a diffuser or even a bath oil to add to your bathing routine. But before that, a lowdown on the fragrances that will always leave you feeling energised.

Orange: Rids anxiety, stress and acne
The essential oil that gets its name from the popular fruit, is also taken from the Citrus sinensis botanical family. The oils are squeezed from the rind of the fruit in a method called cold pressing, and sometimes the flowers and leaves of the plant are used as well to heighten the aroma. Its fruity and fresh fragrance helps to rid oneself of anxiety and stress, making one feel calm and rested. Orange essential oils also help reduce acne, pains and inflammations, and are popular notes in perfumes too.

Eucalyptus: Aids sleeplessness and helps with colds
An evergreen tree that’s native to Australia, the Eucalyptus has medicinal qualities that help reduce symptoms of coughs, colds, and congestion. Inhaling steam that contains a few drops of Eucalyptus oil also helps improve conditions like asthma and sinusitis. Eucalyptus is popularly found in aromatherapy, herbal medicines and beauty products as well. When sprayed around the room, its pleasant fragrance eliminates bad odours and also aids with sleeplessness.

Patchouli: Reduces wrinkles and treats insomnia
A plant from the mint family, Patchouli is a bushy perennial herb and is used in cosmetics, incense and perfumes around the world. Its woody and sweet scent gives it a unique whiff, and is found in candles and diffusers too. Beneficial to the skin, Patchouli helps reduce blemishes and wrinkles, and leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. The strong scent makes it a popular choice in aromatherapy, as it helps treat problems like insomnia, fatigue and anxiety when inhaled correctly.
Frankincense: Eases stress and stimulates the immune system
It’s known for its appearance in Biblical tales, but Frankincense finds its origins in the dried sap of Boswellia trees that are located in North and West Africa, India, and some parts of Yemen and Oman. It’s most noted for its anti-inflammatory properties that help in joint problems like rheumatoid and osteoarthritis. This sweet and woody scent with a hint of lemon is used to ease stress, indigestion, ulcers, asthma, maintain oral health, and improve memory and concentration. Use Frankincense to help stimulate the immune and respiratory systems, and always feel young and fresh.
