As human beings and as a company, we cannot be content with the status quo. We remain committed to doing the hard work required to truly eliminate injustices and inequality. Today we focus our effort on the following:
Balanced Teams
Building diverse teams that reflect our communities and customers.
Inclusive Culture
Welcoming difference and fostering authenticity to inspire innovation.
Diverse Suppliers
Working with suppliers that uplift women and minority-owned businesses.
New Markets
Exploring new markets through diverse lenses and perspectives.
Making Progress
Our diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs are managed at a senior-management level through the Executive Leadership Diversity Board, chaired by our CEO, and composed of the Kohler Leadership Team and key senior leaders. In 2021 61% of permanent associate hires in the U.S. were women, Black, or Latino/a/x.
In 2021 Kohler invested $500,000 in programs supporting students at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU) and organizations focused on expanding diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
Best Workplace for Innovators
Kohler was recognized by Fast Company as one of the Best Workplaces for Innovators. The award reflects the tireless pursuit of innovation by all of our associates and the success of programs like Innovation for Good®, I-Prize, Safe Water for All, and KOHLER WasteLAB®.

Altogether Kohler
It is because of our varied perspectives and experiences that 40,000+ associates succeed in building a future that outshines what any one of us could achieve alone. We encourage all associates to connect with one of our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) as a member of that community or simply as an ally.
Business Resource Groups in Action
Our BRGs definitely drive business impact. But in case you thought it was all conference calls and spreadsheets, here’s a glimpse into the community building and advocacy work these groups bring to life.
