Whether you want to go light and bright or keep your bathroom muted and broody with darker wooden tones, use a theme that gels with your personality. Designers Eshita Marwah and Amit Porwal share unique ways to enhance the look of your private havens.
IDEA 1: Cool Pastels
These images are of a kids’ bathroom and a master bath respectively from the same project. The colours have been kept muted in both the rooms as the spaces were quite small, and we hence played around with pastels in different textures and materials. The luxe master bath was actually quite a tight space, as it also housed at the back, the walk-in wardrobes for the couple. The part-segregation was done to keep the bath organised and seem spacious at the same time.
IDEA 2: Warm Wood
What you see as wood here is actually WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) materials. I use a lot of aluminium composite panels and WPC on the ceiling, as they are moisture-free and waterproof, and perfectly fit into bathrooms. You get a selection of smart colours and textures. Using WPC on the ceiling and the door and amalgamating the same with marble, glass or mosaic adds to a chic look. Lighting also plays an important part, and it has to be educatively done to address the function.
